Portrait with a story? Very good natural shot

@Observing: A little bit of a story. :) The model (a friend's daughter) was all made up and ready for her school ball (or prom, depending on where you are from) and I just happened to be there with my camera. I talked her into letting me take a few shots. Thanks for your comment!
Beautiful portrait. I like the angle!

@standley: Thank you!
We're friends and I write that so people will understand that I am going to write what I am at your request. I agree with both Observing and Standley in that it is a good natural shot and a nice angle. If I had any criticism it would be that a greater range of tone may have made the photo pop more? When you're just starting in Photoshop CS you may want to explore the black and white filters when converting to black and white. You may also want to monkey around in "Levels" or "Curves" when in Curves it is important to note that the extreme points in the corners are moveable and offer some dramatic examples of what I am writing about regarding range. Then again, I am someone who loves shooting portraits in deep, deep blacks, so what do I know. How's that? What I like most about the photo is the honestly.

@Henry: That's great! I did stumble around about a bit with curves but ended up reverting to the original because i couldn't get the effect I wanted. Thanks!
A beautiful melancholic portrait. Nice work!

@Evi: Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it.
Nice portrait with a sweet grey tone! I'd just love it even more if we could get a glimpse of the girl's eyes!

@Alexandros: Thank you, she was a little reluctant! I was lucky to get this. :)
I like this portrait. Beautiful details on the eyes.
