Sesachacha Morning MistPosted by Margie (Auckland, New Zealand) on 28 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Taken a few years ago in Nantucket. There's much room for improvement but I still like the light, and I'm paying homage to a friend today. I'm a beginner at this photography thing. Any hints, tips, constructive criticism or comments are welcome and appreciated.

@Rhys: Thank you Rhys. Saeed from ahwaz, Iranthis shot is simply beautiful and the morning light is great. 28 Apr 2008 7:39am @Saeed: Thanks! Ruben Latre from Terrassa, SpainSuch a beautiful capture ! I love how the calm water blends with the mist and flows to the sky... Lovely !! 28 Apr 2008 7:53am @Ruben Latre: You're so generous with your comments, Ruben. Thank you! @Inki: Thanks! @Ana Lúcia: Thanks for your lovely comment and thanks for visiting! Anthony from Bielefeld, GermanyNice light, nice atmosphere.Maybe a little more detail on the left to frame the whole shot would have made it better !! (NOT a criticism, just a tip) 28 Apr 2008 8:55am @Anthony: Oh don't worry, I agree! Thanks for your comment, Anthony. Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomWell, if you are a ‘beginner’ now and took this a few years ago . . I think you must have photography all sewn up and more some! Splendid shot. 28 Apr 2008 10:02am @Ronnie 2¢: Such kind words! Thanks Ronnie. Aaron Schmidt from Auckland, New ZealandIt's a very nice shot. Improvement probably could have been achieved through post-editing (using Photoshop or the like) but at the same time, I really do like the simplicity. Well done. 28 Apr 2008 10:33am @Aaron Schmidt: Thanks Aaron. Photoshop is something else I have to learn more about! :) MadScientist from Düsseldorf, GermanyWonderful atmosphere and colours. Love it! 28 Apr 2008 11:34am @MadScientist: Thank you! JoeB from Brampton, CanadaThe morning light is always warm, it feels like something is starting. If you can always try different framing, now you have digital shoot as much as possible. 28 Apr 2008 11:40am @JoeB: Thanks Joe. And yes, I have been shooting a lot! Julian Kilsby from Birmingham, United KingdomGreat composition and the subtle yet vivid hues are very effective. A tiny bit more detail in the shadows on the shore might have made this even stronger. But a great shot nonetheless. 28 Apr 2008 12:49pm @Julian Kilsby: Thank you Julian @alex centrella: Thank you very much Alex. @Henry: De nada. It seemed appropriate. Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesThe light and serenity are wonderful! (In viewing, I'm there.) 28 Apr 2008 12:59pm @Earnest: Thank you Earnest, it's a beautiful place. Observing from Chester, United KingdomBeautiful peaceful scene. The image will never change even if Nantucket does. 28 Apr 2008 6:09pm @Observing: Thanks Mike. Graham Russon from Cape Town, South AfricaFantastic shot, love the soft warm feel of this. Perhaps there is too much sky, and a tighter crop would enhance the foregrounds. 28 Apr 2008 8:12pm @Graham Russon: Thank you Graeme. I posted it then thought the same thing. @João Mourão: Thank you! Oswegan from Lake Oswego, United StatesI like the mist on the water, it's beautiful. 29 Apr 2008 1:33am @Oswegan: Yes I like how it diffuses the sunrise. Thanks for your visit. :) @Mikey: Exactly! I think I had to heave myself out of bed about 5am to tag along on this photo expedition. Vikram from Chandler, United StatesFantastic shot!!! 29 Apr 2008 7:53pm @Vikram: Thanks for your visit and encouraging comments! Peter from Antwerp, BelgiumWonderful light and colors. Not much room for improvement if you ask me, although I wouldn't have placed the horizon exactly in the middle... 30 Apr 2008 1:45pm danthro from Suburbia, United Stateswow, this is really beautiful. love the softness of it. 1 May 2008 8:34pm Nathalie Márquez Courtney from Dublin, IrelandVery beautiful and calming, just lovely! 1 May 2008 8:47pm Kelela from United StatesWoa; Margie, I missed this shot last time I visited. Such a pristine and peaceful place. The soft pastels contrasting with the land; wow, this is immaculate! You got skills! 4 May 2008 5:51am @Kelela: Hey thanks a million, but I can't really take credit for having "skills". I was with a friend who has mad skills, and kind of feeding off his creativity. :) |
