That's a nice subject and a great still-life but it could have been better with more light and contrast. I'm sure you can do it ! :-)

Niiiice! You just made me smile because Sunday mornings, reading the newspaper is one of my most favorite things ever! I love the crisp clarity of the newspaper and the darkness tells me that you are an early riser and the lights haven't come on yet; lol. This shot works for me!

I love the eyeglasses, it gives a sense that someone has just that moment put them down and gone away...maybe to get a cup of coffee? but I agree a bit more light and contrast would help, just not so much that the softness is lost.
Fun one to play around with.

I like this alot...you have given this some thought too. Perhaps a little dark and had you allowed for more of a view of the newsprint it would have drawn the eye in further. Nice idea & shot though.

I should say, since you have comments on this and another image about them being "too dark," that "too dark" is only a flaw if it is unintended. Personally, I find a bias among a lot of people towards photographs with even lighting and detail in the shadows. I don't subscribe to the notion that there are rules for photos that require them to look a certain way. What you choose to reveal is a matter of taste.
