Beautiful view Margie !! It remains me the beach on the Jane Campion movie 'The piano', maybe because it was set up in New Zealand as well ! Anyway, excellent work, nice composition and tones... a perfect place to get lost !

@ruben latre: Ruben! So nice to get a comment from you. Yes it is on the west coast of the North Island so therefore the same black sand is in evidence. This is further south than Karekare beach where The Piano was filmed. Thanks for the visit and comment!

This is the same coast as in the "stormy weather II", right? Less dramatic, more focused on the coast and less on the storm.

@António Pires: Good spotting Antonio. Yes this is the same location as the Stormy weather photos. It was amazing the difference in light etc in photos taken just a few moments apart. Thanks for the comment. :)
