Great South Road

I see this scene (or something similar) on my way to the gym every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Of course I never have my camera with me then. This Sunday I finally got my lazy bum out of bed in time to catch the sunrise.

I'm a beginner at this photography thing. Any hints, tips, constructive criticism or comments are welcome and appreciated.

@Calusarus: I was a little disappointed that some of the detail of the road disappearing into the distance was lost once I posted this. Thanks for the comment though!

Beautiful lighting, I really like the composition with the windy flags, once again very cinematic mood, sunrises are always so special, lighting is a bit different from sunsets, unfortunately it's so tough to wake up so early !!!

a great capture! i love the warm sunlight on the building on the right while the left of the image still is cold in tone. i also like how the flags are lit by the light. great sky too!

Nice capture! Do you shoot in Raw! I wonder if you should try to increase the colour saturation to bring out the colours a little more!

Great sunrise, but a bit of a breeze blowing. Theres a place just like this in Chester, even with the showrooms.

@Jason: Remind me in December and I'll show you. And yes, so much detail and vibrance gets lost on the upload. I'm not skilled enough in PP to compensate for that at the moment. Thanks for the visit Jason!

Now, I'd like to see it a bit later in the day, taken from 'middle-a-road' during the rush hour...in fact, how about hourly, starting at 5.00am. That should make for some interesting juxtapositions! Then you could mount them a la Hockney (but minus the rolls of film on the ground on account of being a tidy Kiwi). :).
