It rained ferociously last night. I stood on my porch in the dark and waited for passing cars, clicked the shutter, held my breath and tried to stay as still as I could.
Any hints, tips, constructive criticism or comments are welcome and appreciated.

@Zorilla: Haha! Your shot has a lot more...um...emotion!?
:)
And it worked.... it's a brilliant take, from something simple into abstract Art. Well done.

wow, I can't believe you didn't use a tripod! nice trails!!

This works because you didn't use a tripod. The darker elements have a nice ghosting that adds intrigue to the image. You may want to try this method again with a definite subject in the image I think that would probably be a great shot. Nice one Margo.

Very good considering that the exposure is 2 seconds without a tripod... I like the lightening on the wet road.

You're more steady than I. Not sure how to describe it, but you've captured some emotion of the night here, like part of a movie scene.

Wow, good job for a hand held, long exposure. You must have steady hands. Everything about this shot is just great, in particular the natural framing and the lighting. Great work.
