Floral explosion

Posted by
Margie (Auckland, New Zealand) on 21 May 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

I seem to be a bit obsessed with close ups of nature at the moment. I need to get out more...

Any hints, tips, constructive criticism or comments are welcome and appreciated.

Andrew Gould from Sydney, Australia

What an interesting shot and so well framed. it's difficult to get a lot of depth of field in closeups, but I don't feel the lack of it is actually a minus point here. It adds rather an impressionistic effect to it.

Beautiful ... has a 3D feel to it - as if it's coming out of the screen at me ... my eye is always attracted to orange, and you've certainly captured my attention with this one!
