@jamesy: Hey thanks, Jamesy, it caused me quite a bit of trouble! I actually took it down (about midnight!) and reposted it this morning because it annoyed me. :)
A great document showing the old works, if I was there Margie I'd be in there, it must have amazing old machines inside.
Is this a bay or cove ?

@Observing: Unfortunately the whole place is fenced off now and considered too dangerous to clamber round in...remnants of machinery, chemicals, asbestos etc etc.
This is just upriver from the coast, I was actually standing on the beach as I took it.
ooh -- i love flotsam!! beautiful almost surreal forms washed up here! a faabuous choice for b/w too! i love that large and quite imposing rock on the right hand side!!

@dj.tigersprout: Thanks DJ, I had a bit of trouble with this one but eventually was kind-a sort-a semi-satisfied with it.
And yeah, I almost called it "flotsam".

Good Margie. Your black and white are well saturated and toned. This must be a very cool place to explore and I can imagine all the gnarly and cool trees laying around the beach.
Fine shot. You'll never make me beleive you're new to photography !
If I had taken the picture, I would probably have put the factory more to the left, just showing the bigining of the massive black rock on the right.
I'm not saying it's the right way to do it, just what I would probably have done.
Cheers

@Chris: Thanks for the comment (and flattery!) Chris, and yes, I can see what you mean about the composition. You've given me something to think about which is cool, I appreciate it. Thanks for the visit.

I was there when it was operating and there when it closed.
It didn't do much good for the environment when it was open either - lots of pollution - but given the town has died since it closed I kind of like the pic Marg - kind of deteriation (?) but with nature coming back
